Shpend Ahmeti, the Mayor of the City of Prishtina, and Heini Conrad, the Country Director of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in Kosovo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop the Municipal Career Guidance Center (CGC) and Business HUB (the HUB) in the capital of Kosovo.

Municipality of Prishtina and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation through EYE Project will co-finance the development of the CGC and the HUB to further develop facilities that will support young professionals from Prishtina to get professional advice on their careers as well as developing capacities to support young growing businesses, thus ease the unemployment rate in the Capital of Kosovo.

The Career Center will offer specialized services to students of Vocational Schools of Prishtina and facilitate their transition into the labour market. Meanwhile, Business HUB will be an important entity that will specifically support young growing businesses that export services in international markets.

These two interventions will be finalized during 2015. It is expected that 600 new jobs will be created as result of these interventions.

Investments from EYE are secured through Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo.
