Having seen the interest that women from Strpce region showed in dealing with a range of activities in agriculture, more particular in improving their businesses in the livestock sector, the S4RE has engaged experienced trainers to train two informal groups, comprised of 48 women from the village of Firaje and Brod. Trainings consist of workshops, presentations and field demonstrations, and are being held in participants houses based on their scheduling. In total, there will be 18 days of training while the reported results until now are excellent. Some of the following topics include: Proper Management of the Farm, Illnesses and Adequate Methods for Protection of Animals, Hygiene, Improvement of Milk Quality as per Required Standards, Processing, Storage and Packaging of Milk and its Products, Marketing and Exchange of Experiences. Furthermore, the S4RE will continue to support women farmers by coordinating activities for further trainings and possible necessary investment.
