Business development and Monitoring Expert

 

Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, a Swiss Development Organization is implementing the project “Skills for

Rural Employment” (S4RE). The project is financed by Medicor a private foundation from Lichtenstein,

Julius Baer Group – leading Swiss private banking group as well Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation from its

own fundraising department.

The goal of S4RE is to reduce poverty in rural areas of Kosovo through increased employment and income

opportunities. The main focus of the project intervention will be on youth, women and minorities. The

project is implemented since 2013 to the end of 2015.

S4RE is recruiting a business development and monitoring expert in order to support its activities in 2015.

Required qualifications:

  • University degree in business development or related fields;
  • Very good knowledge on business development and monitoring;
  • Knowledge and understanding overall business environment in Kosovo.
  • Knowledge and experience working with youth. Knowledge on mentoring and support of the start up businesses. Prior experience working with any other donor agency is considered an advantage
  • Very good organisational skills;
  • Good analytical, oral communications and writing skills;
  • Fluency in English, Albanian and Serbian;
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Willingness to regularly travel to the municipalities of Dragash, Sterpce, Novoberdo and Kamenica.
  • Knowledge on skills development and knowledge of the M4P approach and/or DCED standards will be an advantage

Main tasks:

The hired consultant will support project activities related to the business development of the new businesses – start ups created during project activities and support project on monitoring of the different project activities and reporting on project overall impact.

The main activities to be conducted comprise the following:

  • Provide support and advice to the new established start up businesses;
  • Support project for establishment of the strategy for sustainability of the start up businesses
  • Provide support to the project through monitoring of the different project activities
  • Analyse and prepare reports related to the overall impact of the project activities
  • Support project in disseminating the project impact result;

The activities above are defined in generic terms. They might be adjusted based on the concrete needs

coming from the field or per municipality.

The services are requested from January to December 2015. Successful candidates will be given a shortterm,

part-time contract based on the mutual agreement on the days required for fulfilling the tasks.
